The Bahrain Foundation for Dialogue (BFD) [formerly the Bahrain Foundation for Reconciliation and Civil Discourse] was launched on the 10th of May 2012, with the blessing of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The BFD aims to promote civil dialogue, community coherence, and civil harmony, through a series of programs and events that highlight the importance of constructive cooperation and positive coexistence, and facilitate the exchange of ideas throughout society.
